The Biden-Harris administration’s border policies are under fire, and with good reason. During his 2020 campaign, Joe Biden promised a 100-day deportation moratorium, which set the stage for what has become an unprecedented influx of illegal immigration. The situation on the ground is equally alarming. Transnational criminal organizations, including Mexican drug cartels, have been empowered by the Biden administration’s ineffective policies. These criminal groups are raking in record profits from both drug trafficking and human smuggling, which not only fuels their growing prowess but also endangers communities across the United States. As these organizations expand their operations, American cities bear the brunt of the violence and lawlessness that come along with it, highlighting a critical failure in the government’s responsibility to protect its citizens.
The increase in crime linked to illegal immigrants further underscores the urgency of the crisis. The motivations behind these reckless policies are all too familiar and unfortunately predictable. The apparent prioritization of importing illegal aliens seems tied to a cynical electoral strategy — more voters for Democrats, regardless of the consequences for American citizens. By ignoring the counsel of career professionals and implementing harmful policies, they have willingly surrendered control of the southern border to drug cartels. The predictable chaos that ensued was swift and catastrophic, yet the Biden administration appears undeterred, reportedly still adhering to their misguided agenda.
