House Report Exposes Biden’s Border Chaos 10 Million Migrants Crossed Since 2021

Seems like the recent report from the House Committee on Homeland Security Republicans could be labeled as a “How-To Guide” for chaos at the southern border under the Biden-Harris administration. With over 170,000 migrant encounters reported in just July alone, the statistics don’t lie: the total number of encounters under the current leadership has ballooned to an astounding 10.1 million. This figure assumes that the roughly two million individuals who have successfully eluded capture by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) since fiscal year 2021 aren’t even part of the equation. By all accounts, it’s a recipe for disaster.

The committee’s findings call out the administration’s obnoxious trick of using humanitarian parole authority to sneak migrants into the country through ports of entry. This approach is cleverly dubbed a “massive parole shell game.” It’s now crystal clear that the goal is to present the image of control while in reality, hundreds of thousands of inadmissible migrants find their way into the interior of the United States. Biden and Harris are evidently more concerned with optics than actual oversight—overwhelmed agents and overcrowded facilities be damned.

The report flatly states that, since January 2023, over 1.2 million migrants have waltzed into the U.S. through the CBP One application and the Cuban, Haitian, Nicaraguan, and Venezuelan (CHVN) humanitarian parole program. Astonishingly, these migrants don’t even have to pass the initial credible fear interview, which is almost like throwing open the gates and rolling out the welcome mat for anyone eager to cross the border.

The CHVN program hasn’t exactly been a beacon of success either, having been put on hold due to revelations of widespread fraud in the sponsorship process. Reports indicate nonexistent addresses, multiple applications filed by single sponsors, and sponsors who perhaps should be enrolled in a “where are they now?” show. Yet while this debacle is paused, the CBP One program remains operational. This begs the question: what exactly does “security” even mean anymore?

The report doesn’t hold back in its criticism of the catch-and-release policies still in play. These policies have released criminals like Jorge Chacon-Gutierrez into the public, who recently injured a San Antonio police officer. Chacon’s disturbing case and the ongoing threats from known gangs, like Tren De Aragua, invoke fear among citizens, proving the inadequacies of the current border strategy. The numbers don’t lie: more than 8.2 million migrants picked up at the southern border since FY 2021 and over 378 apprehended from the terrorist watch list casts a long shadow over national safety.

Key facts from the report paint a bleak picture of how the situation has spiraled out of control, with 520,000 paroled migrants from the CHVN program making their way into the United States. Since January, migrants have been making appointments to waltz into the country at an alarming rate of 765,000 scheduled appearances through the CBP One app. It is not just about migration; it’s about a serious lack of control, and the American people are starting to notice just how flimsy their leaders’ policies really are.
