The House Republicans are in the midst of a thrilling showdown as they get closer to selecting a new House Speaker. In a surprising turn of events, Congressman Steve Scalise from Louisiana seems to be gaining momentum in the race against Rep. Jim Jordan from Ohio. Scalise’s whip operation has been working overtime, leaving no stone unturned in their quest for victory. As the top deputy to former Speaker Kevin McCarthy, Scalise is no stranger to the inner workings of Congress. This guy means business, folks!
