Let’s get one thing straight: Medicaid was never meant to be a catch-all healthcare solution for every single American. It was a safety net for the truly vulnerable—the elderly, the disabled, and low-income people genuinely in need. Created in 1965, it was supposed to be run by states with minimal federal interference. The media and Democrats portray Trump’s refocus as a cruel attack, claiming millions will be “stripped” of their insurance. What they won’t tell you is that the program is drowning in inefficiency and abuse.
