Controversial SiriusXM radio host Howard Stern has thoroughly embraced the term "woke" in response to critics who have labeled him as such. In a recent episode of his program, Stern addressed the complaints he has received from fans dissatisfied with his new tone. He stated, "I often hear that because I'm awake, I'm no longer good. Additionally, I take it as a compliment that I'm awake."

Stern elaborated on his definition of "woke" by stating, "And if woke means I can't support Trump, which is what I believe it means, or I support transgender people or I'm for the vaccine, dude, call me woke as you f***ing please." This statement reinforced his support for progressive perspectives on social issues and his criticism of former President Donald Trump and Republicans.
Stern's views have altered significantly since his days as a shock jock known for pushing boundaries on controversial subjects and sexually explicit content. Now, he openly criticizes the Republican Party, Trump, and anti-cereals advocates. In addition, he has supported TikTok influencer Dylan Mulvaney during a beer promotion scandal.
Stern's transformation has been discussed by a number of experts. Fox News host Greg Gutfeld remarked sarcastically, "I love that he says he is not for stupidity, coming from the man who created Fart Man." Gutfeld went on to discuss Stern's transformation from a "common man" to a "elitist," implying that Stern's newfound progressive views are consistent with his current luxurious lifestyle in the Hamptons.
Gutfeld concluded in the end, "You are secure. I never believed I would say this, but Howard Stern is secure." This statement illustrates how Stern's alignment with liberal ideals and acceptance by his left-leaning peers may have ensured his position in the ever-changing media landscape.
