Hunter Biden Plays Victim Card in Face of Legal Woes and Trump’s Return

Hunter Biden’s legal team is pulling out the stops with a recent 52-page document claiming that President Joe Biden’s son faces an unfair legal battle, roped-in by the impending return of Donald Trump to the political scene. As Hunter prepares for a potential sentence from judges in California and Delaware, his lawyers have taken a rather theatrical approach to portray their client as a victim of political targeting, conveniently overlooking the fact that he was convicted of gun charges and tax evasion.

The legal team asserts that Trump’s promised “weaponization” of the justice system against Hunter—because who wouldn’t want to go after a guy who seems to have a knack for dodging accountability?—is justification for a pardon. It appears that being part of the Biden crime family has its perks, including claiming victimhood when the consequences of one’s actions come knocking. While arguments of addiction are being thrown around like confetti at a parade, it would seem that the Biden family’s strategy is to redefine “faults” as “circumstances.”

Special counsel David Weiss, appointed by Biden’s own Attorney General Merrick Garland, has been delving deep into Hunter’s affairs for over a year. It’s a little ironic that the very administration which once vowed to restore faith in the judicial process now finds their own member of the family speaking of “political prosecutions.” Otherwise known as “the standard operating procedure” for the left. Isn’t it quaint how often political families use their name to skirt accountability while claiming that everyone is out to get them?

Hunter had been found guilty on multiple charges relating to a 2018 gun purchase, including the little gem of lying about his drug use on federal forms. Then, he added to his legal woes by pleading guilty to an astonishing nine tax charges. But don’t worry; his attorneys are eager to remind the world that he “fully paid his past-due taxes”—right as the charges started piling up. The timing of “fully paying” certainly deserves a round of applause—perhaps they should have embraced the old adage “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” long before the legal storm approached.

On the flip side, Trump is in the wings, throwing Hunter’s name around like a political football and suggesting that the incoming administration could indeed treat Hunter Biden like the poster child for everything wrong with elitist privilege. He even made it clear that a pardon might just be an option on the table for the wayward son of the president. Meanwhile, the Biden administration continues to dismiss the laptop scandal as a conspiracy theory, despite the evidence suggesting otherwise. It looks like when it comes to Hunter Biden, the family motto might as well be “no consequences attached.”

As speculation runs rampant around Trump’s eventual approach to Hunter’s legal troubles—pardon him, let him face the music, or send him on a time-out—one thing remains clear. The Biden family’s legal maneuvering and victimhood claims may just be the comedic relief the right needs in the lead-up to 2024. It’s safe to say that with family loyalty as their shield, the Bidens might just think they’ve got a winning ticket going into the legal lottery. Or perhaps they’re simply betting that the American public has a short memory when it comes to hypocrisy.
