In the wake of the brutal attacks carried out by Iranian-backed Hamas in Israel, where innocent civilians lost their lives and many were left severely injured, it’s crucial that we take a closer look at the vulnerabilities within our own communities. And what better place to start than the wide-open U.S.-Mexico border?
Republican Congressman Michael Waltz has shed light on an alarming truth – Mexican cartels have joined forces with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to exploit our southern border. This unholy alliance not only poses a threat to our national security but also enables the IRGC to fund terrorist proxies like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. It’s like a twisted web, with drug money flowing into the hands of those who seek to do us harm.
Evidence suggests that Iran, specifically the IRGC and its Hezbollah affiliates, are deeply involved in a global drug trafficking network. And they didn’t do it alone – they found “business partners” in the Albanian mafia and Latin American drug cartels. This level of coordination and cooperation couldn’t possibly happen without the knowledge and approval of Iran’s top leadership. It’s clear that the Iranian regime sees drug trafficking as a means to finance its global Hybrid War and engage in what can only be described as a “Narco Jihad” against Western countries, primarily targeting the United States.
But here’s where it gets even more infuriating – the Obama administration turned a blind eye to all of this. Their desperate pursuit of a nuclear deal with Iran led them to derail crucial law enforcement efforts aimed at cutting off Hezbollah’s financing and drug exports to the United States. Project Cassandra, a DEA-led campaign launched in 2008, had amassed substantial evidence linking Hezbollah to international drug trafficking, money laundering, and other criminal activities. Yet the Obama administration chose to prioritize their flawed deal over our safety and security.
Meanwhile, we’ve been seeing a disturbing influx of fighting-age men from countries where terrorism thrives entering our own borders, many of them undetected. This poses a direct threat to our communities and national security. It’s high time we address this issue head-on and secure our border to prevent any more potential terrorists from slipping through the cracks.
In these turbulent times, it’s imperative that we remain vigilant and proactive in protecting our country and its citizens. We cannot afford to turn a blind eye or prioritize flawed agreements over the safety of our people. It’s time for decisive action, stern border security measures, and a strong stance against those who seek to exploit our vulnerabilities. Let this be a wake-up call for all Americans to demand stronger leadership and effective policies that put our security first.
