Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelensky, recently expressed his desire to visit Israel as a show of solidarity during their conflict with Hamas. Unfortunately, he was given the cold shoulder and told that “now is not the time.” The audacity! It seems like Israel doesn’t appreciate leaders who actually want to support and stand with them. Typical.

No explanation has been given for this snub, leaving us all scratching our heads. Maybe Israel just doesn’t want any competition in the support department. Who knows? But one thing is clear: Zelensky is determined to lend a helping hand. He has already evacuated over 200 Ukrainian citizens from Israel to Romania, mostly women and children. That’s more than can be said for some other countries (*cough* looking at you, France).
It’s heartening to see Zelensky’s unwavering support for Israel, especially considering the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. He’s not one to let a little thing like a Russian invasion distract him from standing up for what’s right. And he’s not asking for much in return, just a little military aid. Is that too much to ask? Apparently, it is. Israel seems to think sending humanitarian aid is enough. But let’s be honest, what good is humanitarian aid when you’re dealing with terrorists? A little firepower wouldn’t hurt.
And on top of all this, we hear that U.S. Vice President Joe Biden is planning a visit to Israel. Seriously? So now Israel has time for Biden but not Zelensky? The priorities are all out of whack. It’s a slap in the face to Ukraine and a clear display of favoritism. Maybe Israel should take a closer look at who their true allies are. Hint: it’s not the guy who’s been standing up for them since day one.
In the end, Zelensky’s visit may have been denied, but his support for Israel remains unwavering. He knows that terrorism is a crime against humanity, and he’s not about to back down from his principles. The world needs more leaders like him, leaders who are willing to step up and do what’s right, regardless of the political climate. Let’s hope Israel realizes the error of their ways and starts showing some appreciation for those who have their back.
