The radical left is at it again, trying to take down one of the most successful authors of our time, J.K. Rowling. Why? Because she dares to express a viewpoint shared by countless individuals worldwide: women’s rights should not be overshadowed by a vocal minority pushing extreme agendas.
Rowling supporters are all too familiar with the relentless attacks from these so-called “activists.” They’ve not only targeted her but anyone associated with her work, from movie stars to TV show actors. Actor John Lithgow, chosen to play Albus Dumbledore in an upcoming “Harry Potter” series, found himself on the receiving end of such furious backlash. Initially unfazed by the uproar, it seems recent pressure has led him to backtracking, mistaking Rowling’s clear and rational stance as “inexplicable.”

This capitulation highlights an all-too-common tactic: intimidate until there’s compliance. It’s baffling that Lithgow and others can’t wrap their heads around what’s obvious. Rowling’s beliefs aren’t “inexplicable.” They’re grounded in protecting safe spaces for women and rejecting absurdities like biological males commandeering female-only facilities and services.
The “Harry Potter” series embodies the value of challenging lies—particularly the convenient ones pedaled by those in power. Its heroes stand as beacons of truth against the deceit of petty tyrants and cowardly bureaucrats. So, who’s standing up for that truth today? It certainly isn’t the actors and celebrities quick to fold under pressure, desperate to appease radical demands.
It’s time to ask who really benefits from silencing discussions surrounding gender and women’s rights. If voices like Rowling’s can be shut down, what’s next? Would conservatives sit by as freedoms erode, or will they, like the heroes in the beloved books, fight back against easy, comfortable falsehoods? In a world where common sense is a rarity, which side does one choose: truth or surrender?
