In a fiery monologue on Sunday, CNN host Jake Tapper went on a rampage against Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene for her resolution to censure Representative Rashida Tlaib. Tapper, clearly showing favoritism towards Tlaib, criticized Greene’s efforts to hold Tlaib accountable for her support of Hamas and her relentless attacks on Israel’s right to defend itself. Tapper’s bias was blatant as he closed his monologue before handing off to Fareed Zakaria’s show, “GPS” (although, honestly, who even watches that?).

Greene introduced the censure resolution on Thursday, prompting an intense response from Tlaib, who declared that she will not be silenced. Tlaib, who has a history of anti-Israel sentiments, claimed that she will continue to call for a ceasefire and the release of hostages (as if she’s some foreign policy expert). In response, Greene stated that Tlaib is the “most antisemitic, anti-American, anti-Israel member of Congress” and called on both Republicans and Democrats to vote in favor of the resolution. Even Democratic Representative Jared Moskowitz agrees that Tlaib should be censured; it’s shocking to see some integrity from a Democrat for once!
But leave it to Tapper to twist the narrative. He tried to downplay Greene’s resolution by claiming it was more focused on the events of January 6th rather than the breach of the Cannon Capitol Office Building on October 18th. Tapper conveniently ignored the fact that Tlaib was leading an anti-Israel demonstration right outside the building while it was being breached. Instead, he accused Greene of using antisemitism as a political weapon, but let’s be real here, Jake, there’s far more antisemitism coming from Tlaib than from anyone else.
Tapper then brought up the horrific tragedy in which 1,400 innocent people, mostly Jews, were killed just a few weeks ago. He claimed that “this s*** is not a game,” trying to make it seem like Greene’s resolution was trivializing the seriousness of antisemitism. But that’s just typical liberal fearmongering; Greene’s resolution is a necessary step to hold Tlaib accountable for her actions.
