You won’t believe the latest news on Hunter Biden’s legal woes! U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika has just let him off the hook for a serious gun charge. Can you imagine the audacity? It’s like the justice system is playing favorites and giving the president’s son a free pass.
The charge in question stems from Hunter’s false statements back in 2018 about being a drug user. But instead of holding him accountable for his lies, the judge decided to drop the gun charge and only pursue charges for wrongful gun possession and lying on official application forms. It’s a slap on the wrist, at best.
Let’s not forget that Hunter himself admitted to being in the clutches of a crack cocaine addiction during that time. This isn’t some innocent mistake; it’s a pattern of behavior that raises serious questions about his judgment. And yet, he’s given a pass.
What’s even more infuriating is that Hunter had purchased a revolver and kept it for 11 whole days before discarding it. That’s no small matter, especially considering his history of substance abuse. It’s irresponsible and reckless behavior that should not be swept under the rug.
But this isn’t the first time Hunter has managed to dodge serious consequences. Earlier this summer, a plea deal fell apart because a judge rightly questioned why he was being let off the hook for gun charges while only having to plead guilty to lying about his income. It’s a clear case of preferential treatment for the president’s family.

Now, by continuing to plead not guilty to the other charges, Hunter is jeopardizing a trial that could further expose his questionable business activities. And who will be left to answer the tough questions? President Joe Biden himself. It’s a disaster waiting to happen for the already struggling president.
Speaking of the president, House Republicans are rightfully making it their mission to hold him accountable for his connection to Hunter. Former Speaker Kevin McCarthy initiated an impeachment inquiry to uncover any potential wrongdoing involved in the trade of “things of value” to foreign businessmen tied to our adversaries, like the Chinese Communist Party.
President Biden can deny any wrongdoing as much as he wants, but his denial won’t erase the mounting evidence. Even a key associate of the Biden family testified that he witnessed the president participating in numerous business meetings that suggest possible improper benefits for Hunter and his family. These meetings can’t simply be swept under the rug, no matter how hard the administration tries.
It’s time for the American people to demand accountability from our leaders. We can’t let the president’s family slide by while everyday citizens face severe consequences for much lesser offenses. The justice system should not play favorites, and it’s high time we address this glaring double standard. Only then can we truly restore faith in our democratic institutions.
