Kamala Harris continues to baffle Americans with the dizzying twists and turns of her rhetoric. Recently, the former Vice President found herself on a popular late-night show, but instead of addressing concerns directly, she resorted to the same tired blame game tactic – pinning the administration’s troubles on Donald Trump. When asked about the impending release of the Epstein files, a rare moment of government transparency, Harris scrambled to deflect and distract, a move straight out of the old political playbook.
For an administration that ran on transparency and restoring integrity, Harris’s explanation, or lack thereof, about the files was shockingly weak. Instead of seizing the moment to highlight their supposed dedication to impartial justice, she once again took a swipe at Trump, calling into question the current administration’s own handling of justice. Her insistence that the Department of Justice operates independently of political agendas rings hollow, especially when considering recent revelations about the FBI’s hesitation to raid Mar-a-Lago—a move aggressively pushed by the Biden DOJ.

The hypocrisy here is glaring. If Harris and her colleagues truly believe in a non-partisan DOJ, they’d apply the same standards to themselves. Naturally, these political acrobatics are nothing new for Harris, but they reveal just how detached the Democratic leadership is from the values they claim to uphold.
One might wonder why the Biden administration, with all its promises of change, didn’t release the Epstein files sooner. It seems like yet another opportunity to score political points against any opposition, particularly Trump, rather than pursuing justice. By holding back the files, they’re clearly prioritizing political strategy over truth, leaving average Americans wondering what they’re so eager to hide.
