According to a statement from Buckingham Palace, the king will be undergoing regular treatments and has been advised to stay away from public-facing duties for the time being. However, the statement assured that His Majesty will continue to take care of state business and official paperwork, so at least the country won’t completely fall apart.
In a surprising turn of events, Prince Harry, who has been gallivanting around in America distancing himself from the royal family, is reportedly heading back to England to be with his ailing father. It looks like even rebellious royals come running when there’s trouble in the kingdom.
This news comes on the heels of Charles leaving the London Clinic after receiving treatment for his prostate. Although the palace initially said he would be back to his royal duties after a short rest, it seems that won’t be the case anymore.
In the midst of all this drama, Queen Elizabeth II’s son and Prince Philip’s father is facing quite the health scare. It’s a wonder if the royal family can catch a break, especially after losing Queen Elizabeth II in 2022.
But, there’s no need to fear, because according to the press release, King Charles is feeling “wholly positive” about his treatment and is looking forward to getting back to his regal obligations as soon as he can. Let’s all hope and pray for the king’s speedy recovery and return to the throne, where he belongs.
