Residents of Lahaina, Hawaii are not holding back their frustrations with President Joe Biden. In an interview with a local reporter, one anonymous resident, who lost everything in the devastating Maui wildfires, had a clear message for Biden: “Go home.” And honestly, can you blame her?
An indigenous Lahaina local tells me she lost her house, pets, medicine and cash savings. She can't get a call back from FEMA and has yet to see any type of US aid relief.

She shared her heartbreaking story, explaining how she hasn’t received any help from the U.S. government, even weeks after the disaster struck. No money, no callbacks, and no support. She lost her house, her car, and even her beloved animals. But what does she get in return? Nothing. Zilch. Nada.
The resident then turned her attention to the laughable $700 “relief” checks that Biden’s administration promised. She expressed her disbelief, questioning why the president can’t spare more for American citizens who are suffering. Instead, she pointed out that Biden seems more concerned about doling out millions to Ukraine. Isn’t it insulting that foreign countries get loads of cash, while hardworking Americans are left to pick up the pieces?
Let’s not forget the wildfires themselves. The fires have ravaged over 3,000 acres of land, claimed over 100 lives, and left countless others missing. And what has Biden done? Initially, he didn’t even have the decency to acknowledge the situation. It took public outcry for him to finally pay a visit, but unfortunately, his response was far from stellar.
During his visit, Biden cracked jokes and made comments that many locals found completely inappropriate. It’s clear that he lacks the empathy and understanding needed to address such a devastating tragedy. The woman in the interview represents just one voice among many who are disappointed with the Biden administration’s abysmal response.
It’s tragic to see American citizens left in the lurch while Biden showers foreign countries with taxpayer money. This is a prime example of his administration’s misplaced priorities. Residents of Lahaina and other affected areas deserve better. They deserve a president who will put their needs first, rather than making off-color jokes and neglecting their pleas for assistance. Hopefully, this message resonates with Biden and inspires some much-needed change.
