Some on the Left appear to be living in a parallel universe where reality checks are as rare as a four-leaf clover. Despite the undeniable results from the January 6 certification, a contingent of fervent liberals continues to clutch their pearls over the possibility of Donald Trump, the man they love to hate, becoming the 47th president of the United States. It’s as if they believe the electoral process is more of a “Choose Your Own Adventure” book than a legitimate framework for democracy. Trump not only won the popular vote but also trounced the Electoral College—so brace yourselves for the inevitable.
The disillusionment of these folks reached peak absurdity after Vice President Kamala Harris suffered a resounding defeat in November. Yet, like true champions of denial, some of her supporters stubbornly clung to the fantasy that she might still miraculously emerge victorious. Former campaign staffers even felt compelled to intervene, breaking the bad news about their unrealistic hopes. Their desperate words, however, fell on deaf ears as the fantasy of a Harris presidency persisted.

Further complicating this wild narrative, some ardent Harris enthusiasts apparently believe a recount will turn the tide, despite having conceded the race and being noticeably absent from the recount margins in battleground states. The coping mechanisms on display are so abundant they could inspire an entire self-help genre—“How to Grieve an Election Loss in Fifty Shades of Delusion.”
Meanwhile, entertaining theories abound in the digital playground that is TikTok. A fringe group of Kamala supporters has concocted a belief that Ohio Senator JD Vance is somehow allied with federal authorities to manufacture a conspiracy against Trump and Elon Musk. Yes, you read that correctly. The level of imagination at play here could outdo a Hollywood blockbuster’s script.
As the Left continues to spiral into their fantastical theories, it begs the question—when will they stop sulking in their corners and embrace the cold, hard facts? It appears that while some are busy festering in their elaborate fantasies, the rest of America is ready to tackle real issues and reset the mess left behind by a failed administration. It really is time for the adults to step in and clean up the chaos drafted by those who simply refuse to accept the outcome.
