By urging our brave men and women in uniform to resist President Trump, they’ve crossed a line that reveals their disdain for the democratic process. They dress up their dangerous rhetoric in pretty phrases about “unlawful orders,” but their true message is clear. They can’t stand that Trump’s leadership is back in charge, so they’re playing with fire and telling our military to defy their commander-in-chief.
Even left-leaning voices are sounding the alarm on this nonsense. Chris Cuomo, hardly a poster boy for conservative values, sees how dangerous this message is. He rightly points out that the job of keeping a president in check falls to Congress, not our military.
