Legacy Media’s Trump Slander Fails Again: Outrage Merchants Running Out of Ammo

For nearly a decade, the legacy media have been locked in an unholy alliance with outrage merchants, desperately flinging mud at Donald Trump in the hopes something will finally stick. Yet here we are, and despite the relentless barrage of negative narratives, the former president remains standing—much to the chagrin of his critics, who are running out of creative ways to smear him.

Recent headlines have been less about facts and more about fiction, as they race to concoct new scandalous tales. The media has turned into a theater of the absurd, desperately trying to paint Trump as the villain in a narrative that even a soap opera writer would roll their eyes at. Rather than seeking the truth, it appears many in the press have opted for sensationalism, doing the equivalent of yelling “Fire!” in a crowded theater while nobody’s even seen smoke. It’s a sad state of affairs when journalism feels more like a poorly scripted drama.

Meanwhile, one has to admire the tenacity of these media outlets. They have become like the toddler with a permanent marker who just cannot understand why drawing on the walls is not acceptable. Each new story boasted as the “next big revelation” tends to fizzle like an old firecracker. Time and again, these grand exposés only illuminate the lengths some will go to in order to defame a man who has shown resilience that would make even the most seasoned boxer envious.

In a world where facts and truth seem to be subject to interpretation, it’s a marvel that the American people are getting wise to the charade. Right-wing supporters revel in the irony that while the media attempt to manufacture scandal after scandal, public trust in these outlets has plunged like a bad stock investment. The barrage of unsubstantiated claims hasn’t just failed to tarnish Trump’s reputation; it’s motivated his base even further, turning the “fake news” label into a rallying cry.

The reality is that Trump thrives in the chaos, much like a lighthouse that stands tall during a storm, guiding ships to safety. The outrage merchants will continue their relentless pursuit of scandal, but in the end, they may just be creating a boost for Trump. As every new story flops like a fish out of water, their attempts at tarnishing his legacy seem more like a gift that keeps on giving, reinforcing his position as a champion against the very media machine that seeks to destroy him.
