Just look at a recent piece that hit the news, where a high-profile magazine wanted us to believe a wrenching tale about a child supposedly dying from a measles infection. It’s the kind of dramatic storytelling we expect from Hollywood, not from journalists who claim to care about “facts.” The author treated readers to a supposedly first-hand account, using all the tricks—writing it in the second person, painting every detail in the saddest color possible.
But here’s the kicker: this story doesn’t pass the smell test. It’s so overwrought, so perfectly constructed for maximum outrage, it feels more like fiction than journalism. This is what happens when left-wing editors throw journalistic standards out the window, all in the name of pushing their narrative. They’re desperate to sell a specific view of the world—one where every private decision is a threat, and only expert-approved dogma can save us.

Let’s be honest, this is about shaming anyone who questions big government’s role in our health choices. Underneath the syrupy language and emotional pleas, there’s a classic liberal play at work. They want us to surrender our freedom, trust “the experts” without question, and never dare think for ourselves. And when facts get in the way? Just invent new ones, wrap them in a gripping tale, and hope nobody notices.
Remember, these are the same elites who plug their ears when confronted with the truth. They’ll lecture us about “misinformation” but have zero issue publishing fiction when it fits their message. Maybe it fooled some of their readers, but it shouldn’t fool anyone paying attention. This is propaganda dressed up as a tragedy.
If the left wants to debate real public health, by all means, let’s have that conversation—with real numbers, real evidence, and real respect for American liberty. But pushing fantasy and calling it reality? That’s liberal hypocrisy at its worst. How much longer will Americans let emotion and fake stories replace truth and common sense?
