This week, the spotlight shines on the extravagant antics of liberal media, which, despite a colossal slap in the face from voters, continues its relentless spin against all things Trump. While the Democratic Party is trying to recover from its historic defeat and scratching their heads over electing Vice President Kamala Harris as their best option, the media elite seem stuck on repeat, showcasing the effects of what can only be described as Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS).
In a display more befitting a middle school drama club than seasoned journalists, Scott Pelley of CBS kicked off the latest episode of “Liberal Media Scream” with a tirade about President-elect Trump’s Cabinet selections. Meanwhile, various Sunday morning public affairs shows whipped themselves into a frenzy, attempting to convince the nation that, somehow, having the best economic numbers in decades and a robust foreign policy makes a man unfit for duty.\

The latest episode of “Morning Joe,” featuring starlets Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, might as well have been subtitled “Oops, We Were Wrong.” Their recent pilgrimage to Mar-a-Lago, where they dined with Trump himself, was perhaps an unexpected confession that their pre-election rants lacked any basis in reality. It seems even the most ardent TDS sufferers can occasionally see the light—if only while breaking bread in Florida.
ABC’s Martha Raddatz took the cake for the most passionate outburst, declaring that Trump’s Cabinet picks represent “retribution” against his enemies. Talk about a dramatic flair! While it would be easy to roll one’s eyes, it provides a hearty laugh that she believes anyone takes her interpretation seriously. Raddatz also expressed alarm over a prospective Secretary of Defense who maybe, just maybe, might not be a fan of integrating women into combat roles. It’s all outrage and no substance.
One might wonder if Raddatz and her ilk have any clue about the reality of governance and the public’s enthusiasm for fresh faces in stark contrast to traditional bureaucratic plants. With nominees like Elon Musk, who could probably budget the federal government better than all the Capitol Hill suits combined, and Vivek Ramaswamy, a businessman meant to address government inefficiency, there’s a clear intention to shake things up. Apparently, Raddatz would prefer the status quo—a classic case of “if you can’t beat them, question their sanity.”
With disapproval ratings on the rise for mainstream media, it’s increasingly clear that their incessant bashing only solidifies Trump’s support. As they try to make sense of their diminishing influence, they seem oblivious to their own misfired narratives. Instead of taking a moment to analyze the potential benefits of Trump’s picks, they revert to petulance. It’s no wonder the public is tuning out. Maybe they should consider a career change—perhaps to pundits for a show that focuses on delivering reality instead of catering to their echo chamber of outrage.
