This nurse was caught on video discussing plans to harm immigration officers—a disgraceful display of behavior that tarnishes the reputation of all healthcare professionals.
The nurse proposed using syringes filled with harmless substances as a scare tactic against ICE agents. If that wasn’t alarming enough, she went on to suggest that people should resort to committing criminal acts of violence, including harming these agents. This is mind-boggling. In a country that values law and order, there should be no tolerance for such reckless ideas promoted by someone in a position of trust.
VCU Health has rightfully put this nurse on administrative leave while an investigation unfolds. They stated that her actions do not reflect the integrity or values of their health system. But one has to wonder how someone with such a disturbing mindset was hired in the first place.
