The so-called experts in law enforcement have failed Nancy Guthrie, and that’s a fact nobody on the left wants to talk about. As Americans anxiously watch this desperate search, we find out that the investigation is being run by a sheriff’s unit that looks more like a college internship program than a serious crime squad. Just six homicide detectives, many barely out of training, are responsible for one of the most serious abductions in recent memory. This is what happens when local leadership bends to liberal policies and puts inexperience over real-world know-how.
These investigators aren’t up against petty theft or parking tickets. They are tasked with tracking down a missing woman whose case is growing colder by the hour. But we’re supposed to trust a crew where the lead detective has less than two years’ homicide experience? That’s not just a mistake—that’s gross negligence. Our tax dollars are being thrown away on hand-wringing and empty promises instead of real results. How can families feel safe when the people in charge have barely seen a real crime scene?

It’s no secret that liberal priorities have hollowed out local police departments. Counties spend more time hitting diversity quotas and promoting “equity” than hiring officers who know what they’re doing. The woke crowd would rather see softer hours for rookies than put real muscle behind solving crimes. The Guthrie family isn’t losing sleep over whether the detectives are politically correct—they want someone who knows how to find answers. You can’t solve a kidnapping with good intentions and hashtags.
What’s worse, every stonewalling excuse from local officials is just another slap in the face to victims of crime across this country. When incompetence rules instead of accountability, criminals notice. They get bolder, communities get more frightened, and families like the Guthries are left clinging to hope while the so-called “professionals” stumble around. Americans deserve better. Instead, the system serves up more of the same weak performance that the globalist elites pretend is “progress.”
Enough is enough. If there really is a “smoking gun” in Nancy Guthrie’s case, will these inexperienced detectives even recognize it when they see it? Or will another innocent family pay the price for the left’s endless experiment in lowering the standards of American justice?
