Liberal Protesters Push the Limits With Alarming Anti-Trump Messaging

Liberals demonstrate yet again, and the latest escapade involved over 1,200 “Hands Off” protests across the nation, seemingly in an effort to air their grievances against President Donald Trump, his immigration policies, and the tech magnate Elon Musk, who has been taking a sledgehammer to the bloated federal bureaucracy. The irony of a gathering consisting largely of individuals who might benefit from a little more sunlight and fresh air is not lost on onlookers. Many in this crowd appeared to be in the golden years of their lives, with some jokes circulating that the median age was creeping close to 70. One has to wonder: are the youth too busy earning their keep in the real world to join this nostalgic trip down the protest memory lane?

Among the signs held by these aging demonstrators, a peculiar one stood out — “8647.” For those unfamiliar, in the lingo of the restaurant business, “86” signifies that something has gone the way of the Dodo and is no longer available. When paired with “47,” it’s interpreted by some as a coded message aimed at getting rid of Trump, who is presumably far too busy being the 47th commander-in-chief to notice. The implications of the “8647” sign have raised more than a few eyebrows. While interpretations vary, some on the right are understandably alarmed, interpreting it as a thinly veiled assassination call. It’s hard to think that a group of people protesting the very existence of an elected official could condone such a spirited chant.

Mike Lee, a well-known figure in Republican circles, was quick to point out the potential legal ramifications of advocating for violence against the president. It’s important to remember that while disagreements with policy are an integral part of democracy, calling for violence, regardless of the supposedly peaceful intentions behind the protest, crosses a major line. Encouraging such acts is not just bad form; it’s against the law. One would think that the folks in attendance might want to take a quick refresher course in civics before wielding signs with ominous numbers.

Even more troubling were the challenge coins at the Tim Walz town hall event that bore the same cryptic “8647” slogan, along with messages encouraging individuals to “bury fascists.” It’s hard to believe that anyone, especially in a country as great as America, would find such messaging socially acceptable. The meaning is clear: while they preach peace, some of these protesters appear more inclined to paradoxically entertain violent solutions rather than engaging in rational discourse.

Amidst the cacophony of chants, one protester—a baby boomer sporting a decidedly inappropriate sign—glaringly captured attention by boldly expressing a desire for the president’s demise. When the cause for such angst is realized—highlighting corruption, waste, and strife—is puzzling at best. Yet, this kind of protest behavior is sadly becoming the new norm for those advocating against the very governance that strives for accountability and efficiency. It’s a curious world when upholding the values of integrity and transparency makes someone the target of vitriol and disdain.
