No one should be surprised at the latest liberal trick: blame America first. When chaos breaks out in Mexico, with drug cartels crushing entire cities and innocent people caught in the crossfire, what do the elites do? They point fingers at American gun laws. David Hogg, the left’s favorite Harvard activist, is up to his old games. He wants everyone to believe that Mexican cartel violence is because the United States isn’t stripping away the Second Amendment fast enough. Seriously?
Here’s the real kicker: these same Democrats love to forget their own scandals. Remember the Obama administration’s “Fast & Furious” disaster? That mess saw the federal government literally hand weapons straight to Mexican cartels, under the flimsiest excuse of “tracking” them. In the end, an American border agent, Brian Terry, paid with his life. Guns meant for “tracking” ended up killing Americans and making cartels stronger. But sure, tell us all about how American gun shops are at fault.

And while the left keeps inventing reasons to crack down on legal gun owners, they ignore an awkward truth: most guns in Mexico aren’t even coming from the U.S. Only a small percentage of cartel firearms are traced back to America. But facts don’t matter when you’re trying to sell fear and take away constitutional rights. The liberals in their ivory towers would love to rewrite history and pretend their own reckless policies didn’t pour gasoline on the fire.
It’s easier for leftists to push their anti-gun agenda than admit that the Mexican government is drowning in corruption, that cartels are merciless and better armed than some countries’ armies, and that American freedom isn’t to blame. It’s no accident that Mexican cartels are running wild—they’ve got power, money, and, thanks to people like Obama, plenty of firepower. But heaven forbid a law-abiding American wants to protect his family here at home.
The radical left will never stop trying to strip us of our rights. Every crisis is another excuse to cry for more gun control, push their globalist dreams, and pretend they have all the answers. Here’s a thought: maybe the problem isn’t American freedom. Maybe the real problem is left-wing failure and a refusal to call out evil when they see it. How long will Americans let these elites twist the truth while our borders and our rights get left out to dry?
