The tragic event in northern Idaho should serve as a wake-up call for America. A gunman prepared a deadly ambush for our brave firefighters, resulting in the loss of two heroes and gravely injuring another. This wasn’t just violence; it was an orchestrated attack with one purpose—to strike at the heart of our first responders while they were simply doing their job, battling wildfires. Such acts of cowardice reflect a growing trend of disrespect and aggression towards those who serve and protect our communities.
Here we are, yet again, with our heads hung low and hearts heavy, because of senseless violence. And what do we have from the liberal elites? Silence, or worse, misguided narratives that attempt to shift focus away from the real problems. This attack in Coeur d’Alene is a stark reminder that their priorities are misplaced when they fail to back the blue and support our first responders.
The response from local authorities was swift and decisive, but let’s be clear—it took trained, capable individuals to contain a situation that could have spiraled out of control. And while they were dealing with the pressing danger, liberals are still pushing narratives that undermine law enforcement. Liberal politicians have criticized our brave officers for too long. We must stand by our law enforcement and firefighters, not tear them down.
In this case, technology played a pivotal role in identifying the shooter. Yet, the same liberals who criticize law enforcement for leveraging tech to maintain safety are the first to benefit from it in these dire situations. It’s high time they dropped their double standards and admitted that tools like cell phone triangulation are essential for our safety.
Residents showcased their true American spirit by waving flags, honoring the brave men and women in uniform. That’s the America we should all strive for—not one silenced by political correctness, but one united in support of those who risk it all for our safety. Let’s not let liberal agendas dismantle this unity. Why should we live in an America where defending our heroes is not the priority?
