A couple of liberal senators, Angus King and Martin Heinrich, have put forward a bill that aims to turn back the clock on legal gun owners by about 100 years, all in the name of preventing mass shootings. These senators want to establish a list of prohibited firearms, prevent modifications of lawful guns, and even require approval for future gas-operated designs. They’re also targeting homemade weapons and what they call “ghost guns.” It’s like they’re living in a fantasy world where criminals are just going to follow all their new rules!
But here’s the kicker – these out-of-touch politicians are trying to spin this as some kind of protection for gun rights. Give us a break! They’re essentially trying to take away firearms that they deem “inherently dangerous” and “unusually lethal.” What does that even mean?
