Despite a brief stint as an NFL coach with the New York Jets, he once famously declared, “God did not put Lou Holtz on this earth to coach in the pros.”
Even in retirement, Holtz continues to make his conservative views known, often joining Sean Hannity on Fox News to share his opinions. He has not shied away from criticizing President Joe Biden and has even condemned the controversial trend of kneeling during the National Anthem at football games, a practice that was popularized by Colin Kaepernick.
