Marianne Williamson is throwing her hat into yet another political ring, this time aiming for the top spot at the Democratic National Committee (DNC). Apparently, having run for president twice wasn’t enough for her. Williamson is convinced that the DNC needs her wisdom to combat what she describes as the “MAGA phenomenon,” which she believes threatens to upend traditional American politics. According to her, the Democrats are facing unprecedented challenges and need to ditch the old tools of political organizing.
While Williamson tries to sound like a prophetic oracle warning of doom at the hands of Trump and his supporters, one has to wonder how she plans to reinvent the party with a vision that seems rather detached from the reality that most Americans experience. Her assertion that “the traditional toolkit of party organizing will not be enough” suggests a yearning for something new that might resonate with voters. However, considering her track record, one can’t help but chuckle at the thought of her leading a major political party.
Williamson claims that in order to counter Trump’s “historic” achievements, Democrats should understand the psychological appeal of the MAGA movement. Her idea is that they need deeper emotional connections with voters, which is a far cry from the current approach of constantly pointing fingers at “racism” and “sexism” every time they lose an election. After all, if the party continues blaming others for their failures, it’ll be less “21st-century” and more straight out of a history book.
Speaking of things from outer space.. oh please.. give it to her… we could all use the impending laughter…
Former Democratic Presidential Candidate Throws Hat in Ring for DNC Chair https://t.co/qtD1SKeAaZ

Just when everyone thought the Democrats would take a good look in the mirror after their disastrous performance in recent elections, here comes Williamson with her grand plans. She promises a year-round political engagement strategy that would supposedly keep citizens involved outside of election cycles. Clearly, she hasn’t noticed that the Democrats’ issues have far less to do with engagement and far more with the disconnect they have with the average American’s everyday life.
As the DNC gears up to elect its new chair come February, it’s amusing to see the motley crew of candidates vying for the position, including a former governor and an outspoken anti-gun activist. One can only hope the Democrats take a moment to reflect on the past election and decide whether to continue down the path of scapegoating or to finally have a genuine moment of introspection. If they opt for the former, Republicans might as well throw a party, because it would give them an indoor championship in the midterms.
