According to a probable cause statement from Goodyear Police, this claim is grounded in truth. This incident has drawn attention to Mena’s previous legal troubles, as court documents reveal convictions for sexual conduct with a minor and arrests for various other offenses, including child molestation, indecent exposure, kidnapping, child abuse, and DUI.
Mena allegedly showed his genitalia to an employee after she took his order at the drive-thru. The police report states that when the employee reached for a $20 bill given to her by Mena, she observed his penis exposed out of his pants. Following the incident, two coworkers who went to investigate also reported seeing his genitalia. Mena left the parking lot immediately after receiving his drink but was later apprehended by police using surveillance footage to track down his vehicle.
Separately, Nautica Malone, a 27-year-old man from Tempe, Arizona, was involved in a similar incident at the same coffee drive-thru. Reports have verified that Malone exposed himself and was subsequently filmed by an employee. Tragically, after the video went viral, Malone took his own life. The barista, while prepared for such a situation with a camera, had no concrete evidence suggesting that Malone was a repeat offender; her preparation indicates an anticipation of inappropriate behavior from customers.
