Maxine Waters’ Latest Rant Blames Elon Musk for Trump’s Election Success

Maxine Waters, the 86-year-old Congresswoman from California, has once again proven that she can turn a political discussion into a bewildering spectacle. After President Trump’s recent speech, Waters unleashed a tirade insinuating that the SpaceX and Tesla mogul, Elon Musk, was somehow complicit in “stealing” the election for Trump. While most reasonable folks know that elections are won on the ground, Waters seems convinced there’s a shadowy Silicon Valley conspiracy afoot, with Musk at the helm.

In her latest online appearance, Waters seemed oblivious to the facts at hand as she patronizingly claimed that “the American people don’t know everything” about Musk’s supposed nefarious agenda. But rather than present any concrete evidence of voter tampering, she regurgitated vague accusations of Musk’s financing connections, which many would argue are merely strategic investments in promoting turnout among Republican voters. Musk reportedly funneled over $250 million into third-party groups, including America PAC, which is known for targeting low-voting conservatives in swing states—a tactic that has nothing to do with stealing anything, unless you’re Waters and selective details are your forte.

If the recent Federal Election Commission rulings are to be believed, Musk’s financial foray was perfectly legal and deftly executed. The ruling enabled America PAC to collaborate closely with the Trump campaign, ensuring the right voters received critical outreach, including advertisements aimed at energizing the base. But for Waters, it appears logic takes a backseat to her theatrics, as she claims ignorance yet again, while claiming there’s more to Musk than meets the eye—without ever explaining what exactly that means.

The irony does not escape many conservative commentators as they reflect on Waters’ exceptionally consistent history of election denialism, a pastime that has now apparently become a hobby for her. Sharing her latest episode, the account Libs of TikTok remarked on the contradicting beliefs of those who have insisted right-leaning voters are the real culprits in undermining democracy. Commenters did not hold back, using the moment to gleefully poke fun at Waters and her party’s chronic case of projection.

Meanwhile, Trump’s success in swing states remained undeniable. He scored victories in all seven swing states during the most recent election and even defied the odds by narrowly losing in traditionally deep blue states such as Minnesota and New Jersey. How Waters reconciles all this with her claim of a Musk-led caper to rig the election remains a mystery—especially since areas not even targeted by America PAC still experienced an exceptional uptick in voter turnout for the former president.

It seems Waters has wasted no time showcasing her inability to deal with the reality of the political landscape. After a particularly hysterical episode last month where she was turned away from the Department of Education, she finds herself descending deeper into the realms of absurdity. During a Democrat rally against Musk’s access to sensitive financial documents, Waters melted down on stage, declaring that he had no right to meddle in matters of governance because “nobody elected” him. It was a comical juxtaposition that illustrated how often people like Waters forget about citizen empowerment when their personal agendas are at stake.
