Los Angeles is on fire again, and it’s not because of some natural disaster. The real disaster is the leadership—or lack thereof—coming from Mayor Karen Bass. The one who seems more interested in shaking hands with rioters than in protecting her law-abiding citizens. Instead of standing up for her city, she has effectively thrown Angelenos under the bus by cozying up to mobs that want nothing more than to turn the city into a circus of chaos.
Karen Bass has become the poster child for what happens when you let radical leftist ideologies dictate policy. It’s no wonder Los Angeles is struggling to maintain order when the mayor herself appears to endorse anarchy. Declaring that the suits in immigration enforcement are the problem is just another page out of the left’s well-worn playbook of blaming the badge instead of the bad guys. This isn’t about protecting the constitutional rights of upstanding citizens; it’s about letting mobs run wild under the guise of some supposed moral high ground.
Sounds like @MayorOfLA just admitted to a criminal conspiracy…. https://t.co/cUH7gplItl

With Bass at the helm, the city council seems more like a riot squad than actual governance. Her own aides—notably linked to city bigwigs—were caught hurling objects at law enforcement, trying to maim and kill those sworn to protect. This is not just irresponsible, it’s criminal—and yet the mayor’s response is to ask people to “rise to the moment.” Her leadership is as flimsy as a wet paper bag, failing to comprehend that lawlessness breeds nothing but destruction.
What we’re witnessing in Los Angeles is symptomatic of a larger illness infecting the left. It’s a failure to grasp that peace and safety come from enforcing laws and respecting law enforcement, not from trying to score cheap political points. Instead of acknowledging that riots are violent and destructive, Bass blames federal law enforcement for the chaos. She needs to remember she’s the one who encouraged people to swarm against the feds. That’s not peaceful protest; that’s incitement.
When will liberals learn that a society without rules is nothing but a breeding ground for more chaos and more violence? President Trump’s efforts to curb illegal immigration were about maintaining order and safety. What we need is more of that, not less. Strong borders, safe cities, and a society where law enforcement is respected and supported. Without it, what’s next? Perhaps Bass should ask herself that question before her city finds itself on the wrong side of history.
