Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is in hot water with the House Homeland Security Committee in a major way. The committee voted, bright and early Wednesday morning, to send not one, but two articles of impeachment against Mayorkas to the full House. And this could be huge – like, Donald Trump huge.
Not surprisingly, the vote was split exactly along party lines – because the Democrats are nothing if not predictable when it comes to party loyalty. They claim Mayorkas is just doing his job, while the Republicans are like, “um, no he’s not.”

The House of Representatives is expected to take up the issue next week. And Chairman Mark Green of Tennessee is pulling no punches. “We cannot allow this man to remain in office any longer,” Green said. And he’s right. The time for accountability is now. It’s about time someone was held responsible for the mess at the border.
But, of course, the Democrats are crying “sham” once again. They’re like a broken record, always whining about being picked on. Seriously, when are they going to come up with some new material?
Even former President Donald Trump’s lawyer, Alan Dershowitz, is getting in on the action. He’s pointing out that the charges against Mayorkas are so vague and unconstitutional that, even if the House does impeach him, the Democrat-controlled Senate will never convict him. It’s like trying to swim against a tidal wave – it’s just not gonna happen.
And the cherry on top? If Mayorkas does get impeached, he’ll only be the second Cabinet member ever to receive that dubious honor. The first one happened 148 years ago, and it’s not exactly a great look. So buckle up, because this could get interesting.
So, what do you think? Should Alejandro Mayorkas be impeached? Are the Republicans just playing politics, or is Mayorkas really that bad? Drop your vote in the poll below and let us know. And don’t forget to stay tuned to The Western Journal for all the latest updates on this developing story.
