In a recent scurry of mudslinging, the media smear merchants have come after Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson following his resounding victory in the North Carolina GOP gubernatorial primary race. The left-wing media, predictably, hurled accusations of sexism, homophobia, antisemitism, and extremism at Robinson with reckless abandon. It’s like a game of Pin the Tail on the Republican, with blindfolded journalists taking wild swings at anything that moves.
The Huffington Post decided to lead the charge this time, seizing on a 2020 comment by Robinson that conveniently resurfaced less than 24 hours after his win. They claimed Robinson expressed a preference for a time when women couldn’t vote. But hold your horses! As usual, the left conveniently omitted crucial context from their narrative-spinning. Robinson’s actual words painted a different picture – he cited historical Republicans who fought for women’s suffrage and acknowledged their role in securing women’s voting rights.

Of course, the smear merchants didn’t stop there. YouTuber and MSNBC contributor Brian Tyler Cohen also took a swing, falsely branding Robinson a Holocaust denier based on – you guessed it – another out-of-context quote. What’s next, calling Robinson a secret alien overlord because he likes sci-fi movies? These attempts to tarnish Robinson’s reputation are as flimsy as a wet paper bag in a windstorm.
Let’s get real here. The left’s biggest bone to pick with Robinson isn’t his policies or principles – it’s the fact that he’s a black conservative. They’re trembling in their Birkenstocks at the thought of black voters straying from the Democrat plantation and seeking real representation. Heaven forbid minorities start thinking for themselves and considering conservative ideals. The horror!
But kudos to Robinson and his conservative supporters for standing tall in the face of these baseless attacks. While some may try to twist his words, Robinson isn’t one to back down. It’s like watching a lion face off against a pack of hyenas – and we all know who comes out on top in that scenario. So, let the media play their games, but remember, the truth always has a way of shining through the partisan fog. Stay informed, folks, and don’t let the smear merchants pull the wool over your eyes.
