A theater near Portland decided to use its marquee to throw cheap insults at Melania Trump while promoting a film about her. It didn’t take long for Amazon, the streaming giant, to yank the movie from their screens—but not in the name of civility, decency, or fairness. They did it because the left can’t handle any narrative they don’t control.
This is the progressive playbook: mock, shame, and silence anyone who stands up for conservative values—or even dares to show respect for the former First Lady. The moment things get uncomfortable, Hollywood’s gatekeepers and their pals in Big Tech snap into action. They’ll silence conservatives under the guise of “community standards,” but when it comes to mocking Melania, it’s open season.

Imagine the outrage if any theater had displayed hateful messages about Michelle Obama—there would be protests in the street and wall-to-wall news coverage. But liberals have decided Melania Trump is fair game. She committed the unpardonable sin of marrying Donald Trump and standing proudly by him. For that, she’s treated like a punchline while her achievements and grace are ignored.
It’s no surprise that this circus played out just outside of Portland, the cradle of woke hypocrisy and anti-American sentiment. The same people who claim to champion women and immigrants have no problem trashing Melania, who is both. Their hypocrisy couldn’t be clearer: diversity and respect only count if you toe the leftist line.
This stunt isn’t just an embarrassment; it’s a reminder of how desperate progressives are to squash opposing voices—even in the arts. If this is the “tolerance” they’re selling, real Americans aren’t buying it. Maybe the bigger question is: when will the left practice the respect they preach, or does that only apply to their chosen elites?
