Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey just can’t help himself. The Trump administration finally starts to scale back the number of federal immigration agents in Minnesota, and what does Frey do? He whines that it’s not enough. Instead of thanking the feds for listening, he doubles down and demands they pull out all the stops—send every last immigration officer packing, never mind the cost to public safety. Liberal priorities on full display.
Let’s be clear about what’s actually happening. The Trump White House brought in thousands of ICE and Border Patrol agents as part of Operation Metro Surge to crack down on illegal immigration. It worked. Over 4,000 people were arrested, most of them in the country illegally. But liberals like Frey call it “chaos” whenever law enforcement actually does its job. Families are living in fear, he says, but what about the families hurt by criminal illegal aliens? Apparently, they don’t count.

Frey and his cronies act like ICE officers are just “roving bands” terrorizing the streets, when actually, they’re targeting those breaking the law. Instead of working with law enforcement, Frey complains about supposed violations of rights and tries to play the victim card for every special interest group he can name. He wants everyone to believe this is about “silencing” the left, not keeping American citizens safe. Typical leftist projection—accuse opponents of what you’re actually doing.
Then there’s the double standard. Frey says he’ll work to get violent criminals off the street, just not the ones here illegally. Why not partner in good faith with ICE to tackle real crime? The answer is simple—Democrats are more focused on appeasing radical activist groups and protecting their own political image than they are on the safety of their citizens.
What we’re witnessing is pure hypocrisy and anti-American bias. Frey wants the feds gone just so he can keep Minneapolis a sanctuary for illegal immigrants, no matter the cost. Liberals scream about “injustice” when law enforcement steps in to do its job, but stay silent when American families are the ones put at risk. Whose side are they really on?
If Frey truly cared about ending crime, he’d be applauding these federal efforts, not undermining them at every turn. But as always, the left’s number one priority is open borders and virtue signaling, even as their own cities descend into lawlessness. Are we really supposed to sit back and let politicians like Frey rewrite the rules for their own agenda? The American people aren’t buying it.
