The once “happy hands” governor has been yelling his head off about the federal immigration officers doing their jobs, yet now he has quietly decided to align with President Trump and Tom Homan to address the state’s sheer anarchy. It’s almost comedic to watch Walz reverse course after spouting comparisons between these events and historical tragedies. Seems maybe even he can’t ignore the truth forever.
For weeks, Walz was all fire and brimstone, drawing wildly inappropriate parallels between current events and the atrocities of the past. He acted like Minnesota was under siege by some oppressive force, but now he’s welcoming real leadership. Both Renee Good and Alex Pretti lost their lives due to horrific clashes with federal officers, yet Walz’s fiery rhetoric only fanned the flames of hysteria instead of seeking calm.

Perhaps the governor’s drastic change has something to do with whistleblowers exposing shady dealings among Minnesota’s liberal elite. This so-called “anti-ICE signal chat” reveals a blueprint for chaos, with names like Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan attached. It’s no wonder the state’s law and order are in shambles when Democrats themselves are allegedly cooking up schemes against ICE.
No matter how you slice it, Walz’s rants are crumbling under the weight of reality. He’s being forced to recognize that restoring order doesn’t come from perpetuating lies but from cooperation with the federal government. Let’s see if he can stomach working with the administration he’s been decrying all along.
