North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper, a Democrat, has once again demonstrated his commitment to stacking the state’s Supreme Court with his fellow liberals. In his latest move, he appointed Allison Riggs, making her the youngest woman to serve on the court. You heard that right, folks – youth and gender once again triumph over experience and merit in the left’s playbook.

Governor Cooper wasted no time in patting himself on the back, claiming that the need for fair-minded judges is more important than ever. But let’s not be fooled by this empty rhetoric. We all know that “fair-minded” in liberal speak means someone who will push their agenda and disregard the Constitution.

Riggs, who previously served as a judge, responded to her appointment with gushing gratitude on X, formerly known as Twitter. It’s quite clear that she is more interested in virtue signaling than upholding the principles of justice. And to make matters worse, she joins Justice Anita Earls as one of the only two Democrats on the conservative-leaning Supreme Court. It’s a liberal tag-team that spells trouble for North Carolina.
This appointment comes as the vacancy was left by Justice Michael Morgan, a Democrat who conveniently stepped down last week amidst rumors of a run for governor. It seems like a calculated move by the left to position themselves for more power in the state. But as conservatives, we must not let them gain an inch.
The upcoming year will be crucial for conservatives in North Carolina. With the pressure mounting to elect Republicans and maintain the balance of power, it’s time for us to rally together. We cannot afford to let the left’s agenda run rampant in our state. It’s time to stand up for our conservative values and fight back against the liberal takeover of our courts. North Carolina deserves better than this, and it’s up to us to ensure that our state remains a beacon of conservative leadership.
