In a shocking turn of events, Governor Gavin Newsom of California, often seen defending Hunter Biden, is now being exposed for his own questionable relationship with the president’s son. Fox News has obtained correspondence revealing a web of quid pro quo donations, high-profile mingling, and invitations to exclusive White House functions.
The emails reveal that as early as 2010, Hunter Biden’s business partner, Eric Schwerin, suggested that he reach out to Newsom during a visit to California. Schwerin recommended inviting Newsom to a China state dinner, although it is unclear whether the invitation actually took place. In the same year, Hunter went so far as to offer tickets to the White House Easter Egg Roll to Newsom’s sister, who politely declined.
In 2014, Schwerin once again highlighted Newsom as a potential connection for Hunter to secure real estate investors. The lieutenant governor’s office even passed Hunter’s information to a woman working on a documentary film for Newsom’s wife, hoping to garner exposure for the project in Washington, D.C. circles. It seems that Newsom was more than willing to lend a hand to Hunter and his associates.
The personal correspondence between Newsom and Hunter continued into 2014, when Newsom sent words of encouragement to Hunter after his dismissal from the Navy due to drug-related issues. It’s interesting how Newsom, a supposed champion of progressive values, would associate himself with someone involved in illegal activities.
By 2015, Newsom had introduced Hunter to Eve O’Toole, a lobbyist who had been referred to by Newsom as his “best friend and trusted adviser.” In return, Hunter promised a $5,000 donation to Newsom, though it is unclear whether the donation was ever made. Furthermore, Hunter approached another lobbyist acquaintance, Mike Manatos, asking him to donate $1,000 to Newsom’s gubernatorial campaign. It seems like news to Newsom that not everyone can afford to write big checks like the Bidens.
As the years went on, Hunter continued his support for Newsom, co-hosting fundraisers and making a personal donation of $10,000. It’s clear that there was a close relationship between the two, and Newsom expressed his gratitude for Hunter’s involvement.
These revelations couldn’t have come at a worse time for Newsom, as he is set to debate Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on live television. The two have been publicly sparring, with Newsom touting his progressive policies and criticizing DeSantis for his approach to regulation. Yet, Newsom now finds himself in a precarious position, being questioned about his own questionable ties to Hunter Biden.
It’s ironic that Newsom, who has been quick to dismiss concerns about Hunter Biden’s overseas business dealings, is now facing scrutiny for his own questionable relationship with the president’s son. While Newsom may try to downplay these revelations, conservatives see them as further evidence of the corrupt practices that have plagued the Biden family. It’s time for accountability and transparency from our elected officials, and Governor Newsom should be held to the same standards he claims to uphold.
