If you thought California couldn’t get any crazier, buckle up. Governor Gavin Newsom, champion of the left, has unleashed a radical new plan to pander to his woke base. This time, he’s got his eyes set on California’s farmland, and surprise, surprise—he wants to give it away based on skin color. Apparently, the so-called “California Agricultural Land Equity Task Force” has cooked up a scheme to hand state-owned lands over to certain racial groups, while offering financial carrots like low-interest loans and grants. That’s right. If you’re not a minority, you’re out of luck. Talk about state-sanctioned discrimination.
Newsom’s office is pushing this as a move toward “agricultural equity.” But let’s call it what it really is—a brazen pitch for votes wrapped in social justice jibber-jabber. The left’s obsession with reparations has hit fever pitch, and California’s taking the bait, hook, line, and sinker. This isn’t equity; it’s a blatant power grab, built on the backs of hardworking, everyday Americans.

The narrative they’re selling is that past injustices demand present-day redistribution. Allegedly, America’s farmlands are tainted by the sins of history, and the only way to make amends is to scorch the earth, the policy of eminent theft. California bureaucrats believe that by sprinkling around tax dollars and land giveaways, they can wash away centuries of hardship in some grand utopian gesture. You can’t rewrite the past by penalizing the present.
Liberals love to boast about unity and inclusion, but every action tells a different story. Picking winners and losers based on race only fuels division and resentment. What’s next? Will other states jump on this identity-based bandwagon? Newsom and his crew are driving a wedge through America under the guise of equality.
These days, logic seems to have taken a back seat to radical leftist agendas. California has turned into a petri dish for progressive experiments that constantly backfire. It’s about time someone in power asked the question—how long before common sense makes a comeback?
