NYC DA Bragg Slammed by Judge for Cherry-Picking COVID Cases!

New York City’s District Attorney Alvin Bragg is at it again, folks. This time, he’s getting a good old dressing down from a judge for his arbitrary prosecution tactics. It seems that Bragg thought it was a brilliant idea to go after two New Yorkers who had allegedly possessed fraudulent “COVID vaccine cards.” But Judge Brandon T. Lantry was having none of it. He dismissed the felony charges against these poor souls and took the opportunity to call out Bragg for his consistent dismissal of serious charges or even entire indictments.

Now, just to give you some context, Bragg has a habit of dismissing charges against individuals with prior felony convictions or those whose immigration status might be at risk if they were convicted. And if that wasn’t enough, he recently refused to prosecute a mob of illegal immigrants who viciously beat an NYPD officer. I mean, come on, Bragg, aren’t you supposed to be the district attorney that upholds the law? This guy seems more interested in playing political games and appeasing his woke base.

But let’s go back to the beginning of this whole mess. It all started with government overreach and a New Jersey stripper, because of course it did. In 2021, New York City introduced a ridiculous “vaccine passport” rule that required proof of vaccination for indoor facilities. But instead of letting individuals and businesses make their own decisions, the government had to stick its nose in everyone’s business. Enter Jasmin Clifford, aka 5StarJaziii, a stripper who thought it would be a fabulous idea to sell fake CDC vaccination cards on Instagram. People could pay her $200 and get a fake card, and for an extra $250, she’d even enter their names into the New York State Immunization Information System. Nice little side hustle she had going there.

But here’s where Bragg comes into the picture. Out of the hundreds of people who bought these fake cards, he decided to charge only 16 with a felony. Isn’t that just lovely? So, fundamentally, Bragg was cherry-picking who to prosecute and who to let off the hook. And surprise, surprise, most of those charged were from New York City. I can’t help but wonder what the racial breakdown of these individuals might be, but unfortunately, we don’t have any mug shots to confirm our suspicions.

Thankfully, Judge Lantry saw through Bragg’s nonsense and dismissed the charges against J.O. and R.V., recognizing that their prosecution would result in injustice. It’s about time we had judges who stood up against this kind of overreach. But let’s not get our hopes up too high. The treatment of J6 defendants and peaceful pro-life protesters tells us that not all judges have the backbone to stand up against injustice. It seems like some of them have simply turned into “little Eichmanns,” blindly following a system that is designed to inflict pain on the people while keeping the elites in charge.

In the end, though, justice prevailed in this particular case. But I can’t help but wonder how many more cases like this are happening under Bragg’s watch. It’s clear that he’s more interested in pushing a political agenda than actually upholding the law and protecting the people. New York City deserves better than a district attorney who plays favorites and dismisses the serious charges against criminals. It’s time for a change.
