The senseless tragedy in New York City makes one think: how does a person slip through the cracks and end up at such a horrific decision? A gunman, reportedly suffering from distorted delusions about his past, ended up taking innocent lives in a building he mistakenly entered. He was supposed to target the NFL offices, but ended up one elevator ride away from the right spot. This goes to show how deeply flawed our mental health system is when a man with clear issues can drive across the country and commit such an atrocity.
The liberals in power are avoiding the real discussion here. Instead of focusing on the breakdown in mental health care or the lack of effective security measures, they’ll likely soon pivot to their favorite scapegoat: gun control. But let’s get real: gun laws wouldn’t have stopped a determined individual like this. The problem is systemic, rooted in a lacking mental health system that lets people fall through the cracks and roam free.
This shooter thought he had CTE, the brain condition linked to athletes who experience repeated head impacts. But where are the oratories from the NFL or the media on stopping this kind of misinformation? The left loves to target law-abiding gun owners, but won’t lift a finger to address how institutions like the NFL can do more to prevent these paranoid delusions from spiraling into violence. These globalist elites, cozy in their skyscrapers, seem indifferent to the chaos brewing below them.

And then, there’s Mayor Eric Adams. His analysis of the situation seemed like an alibi for bureaucratic failures. Why weren’t there effective security protocols in place? Elevators can be frozen with a single button, and yet the system failed spectacularly. Leadership, quite honestly, appears clueless and incapable of keeping New Yorkers safe. Instead, the city’s leaders focus on the optics and political games while regular people pay with their lives.
This is today’s chaotic reality where leftist policies have led us. While the media circus frantically spins, the establishment stays cozy in its echo chamber, far removed from the dangers of their failing policies. Who will stand up for the folks who just want to get from A to B without fearing for their lives in broad daylight?
