The left loves to talk about “access” and “inclusion”—until it’s their own pet projects on the line. The Obama Presidential Center in Chicago says Illinois residents get free admission on certain days. Here’s the catch: you only get the deal if you show a valid government ID. So much for that “everyone is welcome” shtick.
Let’s get this straight. Liberals say showing ID to vote is somehow “racist,” “discriminatory,” or an attack on democracy. According to them, asking for an ID at the polls is a Republican plot to stop minorities from voting. But when it comes to their own building—a 830 million dollar monument to their own egos—suddenly you’d better show your papers or pay up.

This is typical Democrat double-speak. They cry about “barriers” when it comes to defending this country’s elections from fraud. But when Obama’s name is on the door, the rules change. Want a discount? Prove who you are. Want to decide who runs your country? No problem—just walk right in.
It’s hard to ignore the stench of hypocrisy. Liberals bend over backwards for illegal aliens, even floating the idea of letting non-citizens vote, but your average Illinois taxpayer needs a government-issued ID just to enter a building funded with tax dollars. The globalist elite expect regular folks to follow rules that never seem to apply to them.
If ID requirements are “oppressive” enough to destroy faith in democracy, why is the Obama crew using them at their own private museum? Maybe because, deep down, even they know ID checks work. Only, the left wants to control when those rules are enforced. Isn’t it funny how the people who gripe the loudest about “voter suppression” are first in line to demand your ID… as long as it means more money for them? Maybe it’s time to ask who the real threat to democracy is.
