An Obama-appointed judge has once again decided to thwart President Trump’s mission to protect our nation. As Trump fights to uphold the law, liberal-run sanctuary cities are being shielded by activist judges who seem more committed to defying federal authority than ensuring the safety and security of American citizens. This time, it’s U.S. District Judge William Orrick stepping in to reverse the president’s decisive action to cut funds from these reckless jurisdictions.
These so-called sanctuary cities – like San Francisco, Seattle, and Portland – are havens for lawlessness. They proudly refuse to cooperate with federal immigration authorities, putting their liberal agenda above the rule of law and, more importantly, above the safety of their own citizens. The judge claims that denying federal funds to these cities violates the Constitution, concocting an argument about “irreparable injuries” and budgetary concerns. But the real injury is to the integrity of our laws and the safety of Americans.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration is tirelessly appealing this misguided ruling and actively pursuing legal action against these sanctuary policies. The Department of Justice, led by the steadfast Pam Bondi, is suing cities that stubbornly cling to these dangerous policies. Cities like Los Angeles and Portland are on notice. Sanctuary policies are not just a slap in the face to hardworking Americans; they’re an open invitation to chaos and lawlessness.
Why do these jurisdictions, intoxicated by their own elitist ideology, think they’re above the law and the will of the American people? Why should hardworking taxpayers fund cities that won’t even follow the rules? We march to the beat of law and order, justice, and fairness – not the discord of chaos that sanctuary cities breed. The question that remains: how long will American citizens tolerate their safety being compromised for the sake of a reckless political statement?
