In today’s so-called enlightened society, it seems like adhering to Christian values is becoming a punishable offense. The recent firing of Floyd Brown from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, after CNN apparently started poking around about his beliefs, is a prime example of this troubling trend. Let’s be crystal clear—Brown was ousted from his position simply because he wouldn’t back away from his deeply held, biblical beliefs about marriage. Since when did standing strong for traditional values become an act of defiance worthy of a pink slip?
This move reeks of the dismissive, intolerant attitude that many in the left-leaning media and political circles have adopted toward Christians. It’s mighty convenient for CNN to highlight Brown’s previous comments on homosexuality and marriage from years ago, when the real elephant in the room should be the suppression of free speech and religious expression. Why is it that in a nation founded on freedom of belief, those who stand by biblical truths are being forced out of their roles?
Even more frustrating is the fact that this took place under the jurisdiction of a Trump-led administration, which has pledged to restore America’s cultural heritage. The former president appointed Ric Grenell, who identifies as homosexual, to lead the Kennedy Center. While Grenell was tasked with setting an anti-woke, pro-American agenda, this decision to fire Brown seems to wave a rainbow flag of hypocrisy. Brown’s dedication to preserving the traditional family values that many Americans respect and hold dear is not only ignored but punished.

And therein lies the rub. If we can’t trust a supposedly conservative administration to protect Christians from this kind of backlash, who can we trust? Trump’s executive order against anti-Christian bias falls flat when glaring contradictions are swept under the rug. This is not just an issue of one mans’ employment; it’s a test of the integrity of conservative leadership. Does the administration genuinely intend to protect Christian values, or are they just counting on our votes while they dance to the tune of political correctness?
The real question, then, is what happens next? Will the administration rectify this blunder and make a clear stand? Or will they continue to let the left dictate the terms of religious freedom in America? It’s time for action, not lip service. America is waiting.
