In response to the school board's failure to pass a policy that would allow transgender students to use restrooms that do not correspond to their birth gender, hundreds of students from the Perkiomen Valley School District in Pennsylvania staged a walkout.
One of the organizers of the protest, John Ott, expressed his concerns about the well-being of the students who participated in the walkout. He stated that they wanted to protect the girls from the threat of men in the bathroom. His mother, Steph, also criticized the school district for failing to prioritize the safety of the students who are transgender.
Policy 720 was reportedly created after a father's distress over his daughter's encounter with a transgender pupil in the restroom. It was reported that neither the father nor the child could confirm the student's gender identity.

Victoria Rudolph, a student, stated that she was uncomfortable when she saw biological males using the women's restrooms. She suggested that the policy should be changed.
Brandon Emery, another student, criticized the school district's lack of explanation regarding its implementation of the controversial policy. He noted that he felt like his rights were being ignored. How dare they place the interests of all students above those of one another?
It is clear that the parents and students are simply looking out for the privacy and well-being of the young girls who use the restrooms. They claim that the issue is about simple biology and the safety of their kids. It is no wonder that a conservative news writer would agree with them. Bravo to these courageous students, who are fighting for their principles and demonstrating that conservatism will continue to be strong.
