Nancy Pelosi has once again graced the political landscape with her trademark audacity, recommending that the towering monument of Mount Rushmore be graced with none other than Joe Biden’s visage. Just a couple of weeks after she helped orchestrate a rather untimely exit for the elderly president from the 2024 race, Pelosi now believes it’s time for Old Joe to ascend to the heights of presidential glory—literally.
Pelosi, who has become an expert in twisting the narrative to suit the Democratic agenda, has suggested that Biden’s presidency was so significant that he deserves a slot among the likes of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. Perhaps she’s been sipping a little too much of her namesake vodka or has hit the political equivalent of a midlife crisis. After all, the only place Biden’s presidency belongs is in a museum dedicated to questionable leadership choices. If it weren’t for the national embarrassment his term has become, one might think Pelosi was joking.

Under Biden’s leadership—or lack thereof—countries around the world have observed an America weakened by inflated prices at the grocery store, a border that resembles a revolving door for illegal immigrants, and a foreign policy riddled with backdoor deals that seem to favor America’s adversaries rather than allies. It’s almost as if Biden took a crash course in how to encourage global chaos, and Pelosi, either blind or willfully ignorant, believes this is something to celebrate. If only there were room on Mount Rushmore for a tribute to consistently poor decision-making.
Some might wonder what kind of Kool-Aid Pelosi has been drinking to make such a ludicrous proposal. It appears she believes a facade of accomplishments can be painted over the glaring failures of the Biden administration. While many Americans are knee-deep in the grind of everyday life, Pelosi seems hopeful that her lofty claim regarding Biden’s effectiveness will catch on. Of course, she’s counting on the public’s short memory and the transient nature of news cycles to bolster her claims.
The prospect that Pelosi genuinely believes Biden’s presidency merits such distinction raises eyebrows. After all, endorsing a path to mediocrity for America aligns with the long-standing preference of the left for international relations and governance. Could it be that the former Speaker envisions a weaker America as a type of victory? In a world where the Biden administration has continued the trends set by previous administrations that prioritized global diplomacy over American sovereignty, this notion does not seem all that far-fetched.
In a time when clear-eyed leadership is essential, Pelosi’s suggestion for a Biden tribute at Mount Rushmore highlights the absurd lengths to which some will go to deflect from the glaring realities facing American citizens. It’s a clear message: in her eyes, a decline in American greatness could be interpreted as a triumph for her party. With thoughts like that, perhaps it’s best the public keeps their eyes peeled for a monument honoring past failures rather than celebrating any future triumphs under the current regime.
