In a not-so-surprising turn of events, the White House press secretary, Karine Jean Pierre, found herself in a bit of a pickle during the daily briefing on Thursday. As reporters bombarded her with questions about the ongoing catastrophe at the southern border, it was clear that she was not prepared to face the music.

But instead of facing the issue head-on, Jean Pierre decided to take the low road. When Fox News dared to ask about the numbers, she shamelessly refused to answer and attempted to shift the blame onto Republicans. Classic move, right? It’s always easier to point fingers than to take responsibility.

But that was just the beginning of this circus. Jean Pierre went on to describe the situation as an “orderly and humane strategy” implemented by none other than President Joe Biden himself. Are you kidding me? Thousands of illegal immigrants pouring into our country with no end in sight is anything but orderly and humane. It’s chaos, pure and simple.

And if that wasn’t enough to make your blood boil, she had the audacity to claim that this unprecedented disaster has been happening for decades. Seriously? Is this some kind of sick joke? People are dying, drowning, and suffering every day because of Biden’s open border policies. The numbers are off the charts, the highest they’ve ever been. Yet Jean Pierre wants us to believe that this is business as usual. Give me a break!
While the White House plays the blame game and tries to downplay the severity of the situation, states like Texas are left to declare a state of emergency. The Democrats, who once proudly declared New York a sanctuary for illegal immigrants, can no longer ignore the fact that things have spiraled out of control. Even they are admitting that the situation is completely and utterly unmanageable.
It’s time for the Biden administration to step up, admit their mistakes, and most importantly, take action to secure our borders. Lives are at stake, our national security is on the line, and yet all we get from the press secretary are empty words and deflection. We deserve better. America deserves better.
