In an attempt to salvage the sinking ship that is the Biden administration, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre recently linked Vice President Kamala Harris directly to President Biden’s economic disaster during a press briefing. Apparently, there’s no such thing as a “solo act” in this administration; Harris and Biden are firmly joined at the hip when it comes to policies that have left American families reeling.
In what can only be described as a masterclass in classic Washington spin, Jean-Pierre insisted that Harris and Biden are “partners” in their economic endeavors. This assertion comes at a time when Harris has been furiously trying to distance herself from the economic fallout of Biden’s so-called “Bidenomics.” While the Vice President has become proficient at striding across stages and propagating the Biden-Harris brand, she now awkwardly admits what every American has known for months: life has become exceedingly expensive under their watch. It’s stunning to watch her pivot to a campaign of concern as she conveniently tries to flip the narrative—what does she think, Americans have Alzheimer’s?
Doocy: Kamala Harris has a campaign ad stating they need more border patrol agents. If President Biden is doing such a great job, why do they need additional agents?

For three long years, Harris has been the poster child for enthusiastic cheerleading of Bidenomics, traveling the country praising the very policies that have driven inflation and destruction of middle-class budgets. If one were to scour the White House website, one would find extensive documentation linking Harris to the disastrous economic plans being touted as a product of the “Biden-Harris Administration.” It’s an ironic twist that, as her campaign team tries to establish some distance from these policies, an entire digital trail of her enthusiastic endorsement remains, much like a wide lane publicized on the internet.
In yet another bizarre twist during the same briefing, Jean-Pierre proclaimed Biden as the “leader of the Democratic Party,” despite the fact that whispers of his ousting have echoed through the halls of Washington, particularly after former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s recent moves. To say Biden is the face of the party is akin to claiming that a sinking Titanic is the finest ocean liner of its time. With the de facto leader of the party being effectively sidelined, one has to wonder what “leadership” really means in this brave new political world.
As American families continue to juggle budgets that seem to defy the laws of economics, it is richly entertaining to witness the frantic attempts by top Democratic officials to deflect accountability. Harris, a vice president who has failed to introduce any meaningful policy reforms, now seeks to recreate her image as a champion for the middle class. Unfortunately, the public is not easily fooled, and the legacy of her close partnership with Biden is sure to be a significant obstacle as she navigates the political waters ahead. The Democrats may be desperate, but they certainly seem unprepared for the backlash they inevitably face.
