Rep. Goldman Begs for Forgiveness After Targeting Trump!

Rep. Daniel Goldman said on Sunday that former President Donald Trump needs to be "eliminated." On Monday, he apologized for what he called a "poor choice of words." In public, Mr. Goldman admitted that he was wrong and made it clear that he did not want to hurt Trump and did not support political violence. He made it clear that his goal was to stress how important it is to stop Trump from becoming president again.

The controversial comment was made by Mr. Goldman in an MSNBC interview with Jen Psaki. They were talking about how dangerous they thought Trump's words were and why they didn't think he should run for office again. He said, "At this point, there is no doubt that man should never be in public office again." He is not only unfit, but he is also bad for our system. He needs to be removed from office.

The Trump team said that Mr. Goldman's comment was old news, and spokesman Steven Cheung said that Democrats have been using same kind of language since 2016. On the other hand, Republicans quickly criticized the New York lawmaker on social media, pointing out what they saw as a double standard. Charlie Kirk of Turning Point USA talked about what might happen if a Republican had said something similar.

Out of anger over the issue, some conservatives want Mr. Goldman to be punished. Alex Bruesewitz, a political expert who backs Trump, told House Speaker Mike Johnson to "censure this nut job!!!" We haven't seen what House Speaker Johnson does yet. Even with all the problems, Trump is still seen as the most popular Republican candidate, and some polls even put him ahead of Vice President Biden.
