RNC Protests Fizzle as Left Goes Quiet After Trump Assassination Attempt

The left loves to roar, but after an attempted assassination of President Donald Trump, their meows at the Republican National Convention are barely a whisper. It seems that the Democrats and their merry band of left-wing activists have decided to pump the brakes on their usual theatrics after Trump’s brush with death just days prior. Who would have thought a little dose of reality would suddenly make them so camera-shy?

In Butler, Pennsylvania, Trump’s rally turned into a scene from an action movie when an assassin tried to rewrite history with a bullet. With the courage and composure we’ve come to expect, Trump managed to avoid catastrophe, but the nation was rattled by the first major assassination attempt on a president or former president in over four decades. This incident has coerced even the most vocal leftists to reconsider their playbook. Protests outside the RNC in Milwaukee, which were hyped to be mammoth, turned out to be more like a neighborhood block party than a political uprising.

While a few die-hards managed to muster up the energy to march near the Fiserv Forum on the convention's opening day, their numbers were laughable compared to the grand spectacle they promised. The Coalition to March on the RNC 2024 had high hopes – aiming for a crowd of 5,000. Yet, the co-chairman of the coalition, Omar Flores, sheepishly admitted that the turnout maxed out at about 3,000. The uptight rhetoric leading up to the protests did nothing but backfire, especially after Saturday’s harrowing events.

Flores tried to spin the pitiful turnout by praising the so-called moral stance of the attendees. He seemed to think their willingness to attend despite the weekend’s events was commendable. He assured them that their peaceful demeanour was proof that they could fight back and keep people safe. Watching them pat themselves on the back for participating in a relatively uneventful march that fizzled out faster than a flat soda is almost adorable.

Nadine Seiler, who trekked all the way from Maryland, expressed her fears to NPR that the paltry protest numbers might aid Trump’s reelection. Go figure! The left is finally catching on that endless temper tantrums might not sway voters. Meanwhile, Trump, showcasing his resilience, narrowly dodged what could have been a fatal ending. The former volunteer fire chief, Corey Comperatore, tragically lost his life while protecting his family, a stark contrast to the cowardly acts perpetrated by the would-be assassin.

America is getting tired of the noise from the left, and if the RNC protests are any indicator, the silent majority is ready to roar louder than any contrived opposition.
