Sen. John Kennedy from Louisiana is not one to mince his words. During a recent hearing, he suggested that the Biden administration might be purposely letting illegal immigrants into the country to score political points for the Democratic party. That’s right, he thinks there’s an ulterior motive here, folks.

Kennedy grilled Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas about the increasing flow of illegal immigrants at the southern border. He didn’t hold back, accusing the administration of using these immigrants to gain more electoral college votes and influence congressional district reapportionment. Yes, he’s saying what you’re thinking.
But Mayorkas wasn’t having it. He played dumb, claiming he didn’t understand Kennedy’s questions. Then he called the Senator disrespectful for even suggesting such a thing. Classic move, Mayorkas.
Kennedy wasn’t convinced, though. He stuck to his guns and accused Mayorkas of being fully aware of the political implications of the border crisis. He even threw in a jab about how illegal immigrants seem to be doing better than the average American under the current policies. Ouch, that’s gotta sting.
The drama doesn’t end there, folks. Mayorkas has the dubious honor of being only the second presidential cabinet member ever to be impeached in U.S. history. The charges, you ask? “Willfully and systematically” refusing to enforce existing immigration laws and breaching public trust. But hey, who’s counting?
Now, if you’re thinking that the Senate is going to remove him from office, think again. Republicans are gearing up for a big showdown, while Democrats are trying to sweep it all under the rug faster than you can say “border crisis.” Who would’ve thought politics could get this spicy?
